The sextuplets' birthday is today and here they are in their room, doing their usual routine.
"Well," Osomatsu shrugs as he skimmed a page in his manga. "Here we are, guys. Happy birthday to us."
"Another birthday stuck at home with our useless eldest brother," Karamatsu drones, not bothering with the dramatics today, as he flips a page in his magazine.
"And another birthday with barely any change from last year's," Choromatsu groans. "Great."
Ichimatsu plays with the kitten on his lap, waving a teaser while the kitten tries to catch it.
"But didn't we actually get jobs?" Jyushimatsu says. "That's gotta count for something."
"I didn't have one, though," Choromatsu adds.
Todomatsu took a quick birthday selfie of himself. "Yeah, but then we died from a plane crashing into us, got put in Hell and came back those same three months ago. I'm pretty sure no one believed that we died and came back once we got back to our jobs."
"Same," Osomatsu says to Todomatsu. "Explaining all of that was a hassle, and he thought I was joking."
"And from what I've heard about you, your joking around almost got you fired," Choromatsu retorts.
"Chibita got pretty worried, though," Ichimatsu says.
"That's only because, one, you're working under him, two, we've known him since we were kids." Todomatsu replies. "And three, he helped us get back here. You should be grateful you got a job under Chibita."
"I am."
"This conversation isn't going anywhere, is it?"
"No."
"Hold up," Choromatsu pipes up. "Shouldn't the rest of you be at your jobs?! Besides Ichimatsu, of course."
"Day off," Osomatsu and Todomatsu reply in unison.
"No clients," Jyushimatsu replies.
"I also got the day off," Karamatsu answers.
They all sigh after a moment of silence.
"We get our birthday off, and we're doing nothing," Choromatsu complains. "Wonder what everyone else who remembered got planned for us?"
